All work submitted for consideration at dancescreen2016 will also be included in the Buyers Catalogue.
Launched in 1988, dancescreen is the world’s leading dance film competition. Filmmakers, choreographers, dance and video artists, producers, distributors and broadcasters are invited to submit dance-based films produced since June 2013. Chosen work will feature in various programmes during FRAME: The London Dance Film Festival and will be eligible for the following categories: Live Performance Relay & Camera Re-work, Animation, Screen Choreography (up to 5 minutes, up to 15 minutes and over 15 minutes) and Documentary.
Winners will be announced at FRAME on 12 June.
FRAME 2016 will showcase feature length films alongside competitive shorts, accompanied by a programme of events including industry workshops and panels led by prominent figures in tv, film, music and dance. The three day celebration of the best of dance in film will be supported by BBC Arts and patrons including Royal Ballet ballerina and TV presenter Darcy Bussell and bestselling author and TV writer Lynda LaPlante.
